Connect A Hose To A Sink Faucet

A garden hose is an indispensable tool for watering plants and washing cars. If you don't have an outdoor faucet, you can connect a hose to your sink faucet with a simple adapter. Here's how to do it:

Materials you'll need

Garden hose
Sink faucet adapter
Wrench

Step 1: Turn off the water supply to the sink. This is usually done by turning the knob under the sink to the "off" position.

Step 2: Remove the aerator from the sink faucet. The aerator is the small, screen-like attachment on the end of the faucet. It can be removed by unscrewing it by hand or with a wrench.

Step 3: Attach the sink faucet adapter to the sink faucet. The adapter will have a male end that attaches to the faucet and a female end that the hose will attach to.

Step 4: Tighten the adapter with a wrench. Be sure to tighten it securely, but don't overtighten it or you could damage the faucet.

Step 5: Attach the garden hose to the adapter. The hose will have a male end that attaches to the female end of the adapter.

Step 6: Turn on the water supply to the sink. You can now use the garden hose to water plants or wash your car.
