Gluing Undermount Sink To Granite

Installing an undermount sink in granite countertops is a great way to achieve a sleek, modern look. However, the process can be tricky, so it's important to follow the steps carefully.

Materials You'll Need

Before you start, you will need the following materials:

Undermount sink
Granite countertop
Construction adhesive
Caulking gun
Caulk
Level
Measuring tape
Pencil
Utility knife
Sandpaper
Clean cloths

Step 1: Prepare the Sink

Start by cleaning the sink and the countertop with a clean cloth. This will remove any dirt or debris that could interfere with the adhesion of the glue.

Step 2: Apply Adhesive to the Sink

Apply a bead of construction adhesive around the rim of the sink. Make sure to apply the adhesive evenly and avoid getting it on the top of the sink.

Step 3: Position the Sink

Carefully position the sink in the hole in the countertop. Use a level to make sure that the sink is level front to back and side to side.

Step 4: Press the Sink into Place
