How To Change A Kitchen Sink Faucet

A leaky faucet is one of the most common household plumbing problems. Not only is it annoying, but it can also waste a lot of water. Step 1: Gather your tools and materials

Step 3: Disconnect the old faucet.

Using the adjustable wrench, loosen the nuts that are holding the faucet in place. Be careful not to over-tighten the nuts, as this could damage the faucet or the sink. Once the nuts are loose, you can disconnect the old faucet from the water supply lines.

Step 4: Connect the new faucet.

Wrap a layer of Teflon tape around the threads of the new faucet's water supply lines. This will help to prevent leaks. Then, screw the water supply lines into the new faucet. Be sure to tighten the nuts until they are snug.

Step 5: Install the new faucet.

Place the new faucet in the sink and align the holes in the faucet base with the holes in the sink. Insert the mounting nuts into the holes and tighten them until the faucet is secure.

Step 6: Reconnect the water supply.

Turn on the water supply valves under the sink. Check for leaks around the new faucet. If there are any leaks, tighten the nuts or replace the Teflon tape.

Step 7: Test the new faucet.

Turn on the new faucet and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks or drips. If there are any problems, turn off the water supply and contact a plumber.
