Step 3: Apply plumber's putty to the drain flange. Roll a rope of plumber's putty into a circle and place it around the base of the drain flange. The putty will help to seal the drain and prevent leaks.

Step 4: Install the drain flange. Place the drain flange over the drain hole in the sink. Press down on the flange to seal the putty around the hole. Then, tighten the slip joint nuts that connect the flange to the sink.

Step 6: Test the drain. Turn on the water and let it run into the sink. Check for any leaks around the drain. If there are any leaks, tighten the slip joint nuts until the leak stops.
