Step 1: Prepare the Granite Countertop

The first step is to prepare the granite countertop for the sink. This involves creating a template of the sink and then using a hole saw to cut out the opening for the sink. To create the template, place the sink on the countertop and trace around the outside edge with a pencil. Then, use a measuring tape to measure the distance from the front edge of the sink to the back edge of the countertop. Mark this measurement on the template. Finally, use a level to make sure that the template is level.

Step 2: Cut the Opening for the Sink

Once you have created the template, you can cut out the opening for the sink. To do this, use a hole saw that is slightly larger than the diameter of the sink drain. Drill a hole in the center of the template, and then insert the hole saw into the hole. Cut out the opening for the sink, taking care not to cut into the granite countertop. Once the opening is cut out, use a Forstner bit to create a small recess around the edge of the opening. This recess will help to hold the sink in place.

Step 3: Install the Sink

Once the opening is cut out, you can install the sink. To do this, first apply a bead of caulk around the edge of the opening. Then, carefully place the sink into the opening. Make sure that the sink is level and that the caulk is evenly distributed around the edge of the opening. Once the sink is in place, use clamps to hold it in place while the caulk dries.

Step 4: Grout the Sink

Once the caulk has dried, you can grout the sink. To do this, mix up a small batch of grout according to the manufacturer's instructions. Then, using a grout float, apply the grout to the space between the sink and the granite countertop. Work the grout into the space until it is completely filled. Once the grout is in place, allow it to dry completely.

Step 5: Install the Faucet

Once the grout is dry, you can install the faucet. To do this, first connect the water supply lines to the faucet. Then, insert the faucet into the hole in the granite countertop. Secure the faucet in place with the mounting hardware. Once the faucet is installed, turn on the water supply and check for leaks.
