Sink Disposal Not Turning On

1. Check the power supply.

2. Check the reset button.

3. Check the flywheel.

To check the flywheel, remove the splash guard from the garbage disposal and look for any objects that may be jammed in the flywheel. If you find any objects, remove them and try turning on the garbage disposal again.

4. Check the impellers.

The impellers are the blades that grind up food waste in the garbage disposal. If the impellers are damaged or worn, they can prevent the garbage disposal from turning on. To check the impellers, remove the splash guard from the garbage disposal and look for any damage to the impellers. If the impellers are damaged, you will need to replace them.

5. Call a plumber.

If you have checked all of the above and your garbage disposal is still not turning on, you may need to call a plumber. A plumber can diagnose the problem and repair or replace your garbage disposal.
